To Jim, Jarred, and the Red team, I would like to say thank you for your perseverance, diligence, and determination. I don't know how you did it (I guess I don't even know what "it" is yet), but however it turns out, it may be more meaningful than you thought.
As you are already aware, Epic is amazing. I've never had the pleasure of meeting one, but from what I've heard and read and the bits I've seen on the internet, the image and awesomeness of Epic is a dream. But for many of us, it's most likely an unattainable one. Like a child watching American TV from a third world country, Epic has no real value for me, other than the smile that comes to my face from knowing that awesomeness exists.
But Scarlet...
Scarlet creates that warm blooded excitement like when you're one Heart away from the nut flush, or when a beautiful girl returns your call, because for once in your life, there's a chance. Scarlet is that chance. Whether or not I am able to come up with one, Scarlet has made what seemed impossible, possible. And possibility equals hope. And that's kind of a big deal.
Now, I realize this post makes me look a little pathetic. Scratch that, very pathetic. Know what? It's probably the truth. Not sure I'm ever going to be able to fix that, but I am working on it. In the meantime, I'll take what I can get, even if it is pathetic.
And so regardless of what happens on November 3rd and thereafter, thank you for the possibility of Scarlet. Thank you for hope!
