Hi,
This is just a quick fix of redone bottom plate to fit Epic. A 12mm aluminum block and some holes. Rock solid :)

Hah! I did the same with a spare R1 dovetail base. I used a wood block, however, to keep weight down. There's a pic with it on the front page of my site: http://talltalepictures.com/

@ Jason : Nice, but if you don't cut the plate, the height of the sensor axe with the 19mm and 15mm rods (with the Universal Mount) doesn't match with the existing mattbox (Arri, Chroziel) ?

Hey Jason, I'm interested in your adapter but am curious about this too.

Christophe, the R1 bottom plate solution sets the Epic just a little above the proper 19mm rails standard. Fortunately, I can simply adjust with the Red Rock Micro's vertical slide to re-center the matte box on the lens. (Having noted that, I have an Element Technica 19mm Studio Hybrid plate and Innocinema riser+xlr adapter on order.)

Janne's original solution with the edges cut out of the R1 plate is the correct one.
