  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

HMKFILMS AS - Norway

It took a bit of time before we noticed this ourself too actually, (same thing with the REDMOTE) but we have notified Fosen Tools about it and they have agreed to fix this. We will most likley have to modify the Power Case a bit at the same time because I might have missed my predicted (width) size of the Quad Charger.

Keeping my fingers crossed that they get out of Backorder ASAP because when I ordered we received allocation mail imediatley by mistake and eventually fell between two chairs and wounded up in next batch...

Such a shame that all the Redvolt labels are "REVOLT" . Nice cases nonetheless.

We have a pretty good insurance so I'm not that worried about check in, at least not on shorter/single flights. On continental transfering flights I might feel different ;-)

Somehow I doubt that even the best insurance company in the world will be able to replace your EPIC and accessories within a few hours of showing up for a shoot with all of your gear missing in transit. It could take several weeks, or months. I'd never check anything I could live without on a shoot.

Hi guys,
PM me for the Google Sketchup drawings, but bare in mind that they are only estimated measures used for planning. Fosen Tools took their own exact measures of each available item. The ones we have not yet received I carefully calculated based on The RED Epic form factor.

You are all welcome to PM me and I'll e-mail them to you.

Wow! Those cases are gorgeous!! You don't by any chance want to make your sketchup model pack available for our own custom designs would you? ;)

Hi,
Well we try not to put ourself in situations where we walk out of the airport and straight on to set. Nice to have at least a day or so. But as I mentioned earlier we might bring a light weight config of the Epic onboard as hand luggage in a smaller camera bag.
On the other hand it seems RED is selling more and more Epics and huge amounts of Scarlets. (They are really popping up everywhere around here these days :-) So I don't think it will be a problem to rent a replacement setup if this where to happen. And our Insurance will cover this while we wait to retrieve our own...

Finally we received our Epic Fan Upgrade Kit today. It took about five minutes to install new top fan and change the front fan. Modular design forever!! You just got to love this stuff!
Now all that's missing is the Mighty Dragon sensor!! :ihih:

Some images of our new custom cut HDFI camera cases. We went from the big and heavy Pelican 1610 to a SKB 2015-10B super compact solution with about the same amount of gear packed. I also love the locks on SKB.. No more hurting fingers with these.

Got a lucky shot of the mighty Norwegian Sea Eagle today! Who says it's not funny to go fishing with the RED DRAGON on board :)

Wow nice b ig bird shot in the Fjords! :D
I like those SKB cases too. We have them for data kits which I love when doing fast but safe DIT work.
You fitted the new inserts for a fast almost ready to shoot setup with the RPZ? That would make sense...you probably changed that out of experience?

Are your UP's used for 3D work yet? That's why you got the LDS version right?

This has got to be the most awesome case for camera I have ever seen. It was obviously custom made for your particular configuration and needs.
Do you mind sharing how much it costed, how long it took and what was the process?
Did you make the organisation design yourself, or did you just give them all your gear (and if so - for how long?) and they organised it by themselves?
Can you share their contact details?

Cheers
