Now I know that your REDuser pages are terrific and I use them a lot BUT have you considered how difficult it is to read Black against Grey or any other of the combinations you use.
It must be HELL for guys who are colour blind.
I find I have to peer at it from different angles to get the wording.
Other similar forums allow a colour change with a button to do this, which helps a lot.
Any ideas please.

I go away for 3 days and come back to a site that looks like a blind designers pet monkey redid it.

Why is it so hard to find stuff and it's not half as readable as the last design which, far from perfect, was way better than this.

Isn't it a bit nuts that Red can spend $$$ building cameras from scratch and yet the web forum looks :puke:

It reflects really badly on a company that's supposed to be about making images. Or maybe I'm wrong and it's supposed to be viewed with stereoscopic glasses :rolleyes5:

Hire a real web design company, guys. Please.

I agree, the last layout was easier on the eye - the new design with lots of light grey text on mid grey backgrounds is very hard to see. For example, the thread starter name is lost on the grey thread background colour. The sticky thread lists are readable.

What about a simpel move away from the light grey backgrounds - maybe 75% grey rather than the current tone.

Positive on the redesign is (I presume) getting the forum ready for a lot more traffic as NAB is around the corner... so that's good!

Am I missing something...look great to me.

Only issue of automatically going top-centre for new posts instead of top left which will take a few days.

Oh and I have to adjust my avatar now cause it don't match. Dammit more work!

I second that. Pls let's keep it simple.

this skin strain my eyes

Pretty much agree with all the above, but assume it will get better as they tweak. I'm just hoping to be able to keep up with the latest until I get my cameras... then I will be an infrequent user of REDuser.

However, when I do have cameras I will still need to come here to find out latest camera information etc. So, i'm wondering if the mods could monitor the posts and if something is posted, either by RED team or a member of the public, that the mods feel is important to the customer base... I'm just thinking it would be helpful if the mods marked such a thread in a way we know it has important information. I know we had the 5 stars system on the old forum but as I remember that was something any forum member could initiate. I just think a moderator would have a better understanding of what is important to camera owners.

New tweaks are an improvement. The site kinda grows on ya'.

I'm still hoping for my suggestion for having mods mark threads that are important to camera owners. Once cameras arrive, I hope to be too busy to scour the site.

I like it a lot. (and I have not always been a fan of Red's graphic design changes) I think a lot of the complaints are going to ease with just a little acclimation. Just one question: is the "Red Team" button going to come back?

Dave, it's up there by the name of the thread.

Please get rid of the bottom element below each post. It doesn't fit and only eats up valuable screen space.

Look at this photoshopped version, it's so much cleaner without:

Thanks!

Hi Guys,
Now whatever you have done has improved everything for myself 90% and I hope, for those who agreed with me. That was an event in itself!
Now if you could just get the white against light grey sorted it would all be superb.
As an old Film man and Colour guy I suggest a Grey scale would be of help when you pick the colour combinations.
Technicolour used to do this so often very wild colour combinations actually made superb greyscale prints.
Lets think Greyscales and then even the guys & gals who are colour blind will read the forum with ease.
Thanks very much for listening.
I am chilled, really.
Cheers

Based London.

Also, if the subject text is bigger then the name of the thread starter... Thanks
I'm still not happy with the colour combinations although it's gotten better. It's just that after going through so many other pages and websites one wants to get the info as easily and quickly as possible. Just my honest, humble and devalued $0.02 opinion. Thanks once again.
