Any chance that I can get a RED ONE to operate in a high speed mode, with reduced resolution? Something in the 1000 fps range?

Thanks, pablos.

I asked that question awhile ago and was told that 120 fps is the limit. Maybe the next gen of sensor can do more... or Jim can work some magic... he is pretty good at pulling impossible rabbits out of hats. But for now 2k 2:1 120fps as of build 16

You'll need Viper for that, RED 120 fps max

If you are looking for a reduced resolution option and can't afford Phantom HD or Weisscam. Check out the Casio Exilim Ex-F1. It's a dslr for under $1000.00

http://exilim.casio.com/browse_cameras/exilim_pro/EX-F1/

This will allow you to record High Speed Movies Up To 1,200 Frames Per Second.

HD Movies: 1920 x 1080 (FHD, 60 fields per second), 1280 x 720 (HD, 30 fps)
Hi-Speed Movies (HS): 512 x 384 (300 fps, 30-300 fps), 432 x 192 (600 fps), 336 x 96 (1200 fps)

It's great for testing purposes, web or viral but nothing at a broadcast level.

At lower cost there is also the Phantom Miro line.

Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1:
Hi-Speed: 512 × 384 (300 fps), 432 × 192 (600 fps), 336 × 96 (1200 fps)

Do you know for LG mobile phone recording at 120fps?
