  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

High speed bullet impact footage

Now it's just a matter of time before someone demands that all RED cameras shoots at 1 million fps...because they "need" it.

That was very interesting. Looks like they were shooting some large calibers. I just can't imagine how much light it took to get those shots.

True - you'd need about 15 stops more than with 25fps. Then again, it does have only half of VGAs resolution.

How do you get it to be flicker free at those speeds? Does this only work with DC voltage?

Camera probably has an image intensifier (think night-vision goggles on steroids).

Still, even with a badass image intensifier you need to get that set...or range, blazen with light. Unless that intensifier does that much work, which I kind of doubt.

What I find amazing is that it looks just like a log hitting water. Always the same kinds of patterns in nature. No matter how big or small...

Yeah that was cool seeing lead appear liquify. I also found it interesting to see how the copper jacket got stripped off the round. Plus seeing the rifling left on the round from the barrel.
