Glad to see the RED ONE MX still working. Just shot with mine today on a music video, and I marveled at its flawless performance in a room that at one point was over 100 degrees. No ice packs required. :-)

Nice work, keep rocking the R1. Also nice to see Super 8 in there as well.

I’m mixing super 8 mm ,super 16mm film and red scarlet on a spot this week!!

Thanks a lot guys! I truly appreciate!

@Steve, The Red one Mx is the most filmic Red camera out there in my opinion, by far.. Keep riding her, this beauty has some special magic.. !

@Dio, Can't wait to see what you'll do! And Super 16 is truly special, you can't go wrong with it..

Very cool! I don't like the switch in aspect ratio, but that is not something that everyone will agree with. I say, choose the aspect ratio, and stay with it. Super 8 I will always love, though. ;-)

Commercial cinematography is something that I'd much prefer over shooting feature films. I especially want to create and shoot ads for luxury brands such as Hermes, Dior, Chanel etc. (I can dream, right?) What do you think about that - features or advertisements? Or both?

Thank you Karim!!

As for your question, you can literally do everything and make your dreams a reality, as far as you work crazily hard for it.
I don't think features and commercials are to be opposed, these are two different exercices that nurture you differently, humanly and creatively both in their own way..
Some of the major directors have beautifully combined these two Art forms, look at Martin Scorsese, Cary Fukunaga, Alejandro González Iñárritu, David Fincher, Ridley Scott, Guy Ritchie, Michael Mann and so on..
And the same can be applied to Cinematographers..
So go for everything! Don't choose, and strive for what your guts and envies dictate you my friend ;)

Fantastic! Mind sharing how you achieved some of those looks? Were most in camera or were they help mostly with post?
