Help with Up Dating the RED Remote

I need a little help updating my RED Remote to the current firmware, it does not pair up with my Epic. Any suggestions

Did you do a usb update of the redmote first with the new redmote version? What I did is use that update dsmc utility on my PC first with the redmote. After I updated the redmote with the usb cable and that utility, the pairing went fine.

No, how do you do that? I downloaded the new Firmware and plug the red mote into my Mac Laptop. I have never done this before excuse my ignorance

You need to download the Redmote Upgrade Utility as well. You'll find it on the same Support page at RED.com where the other firmware downloads are. It's actually labeled "DSMC Resources."

Once you've downloaded that program, run it and you should be golden.
