Hello everyone,

I shot a music video on the red and transcoded the r3d files to DNxHD 36 720p files with metafuze. I loaded the ALE metafuze created into one of my bins but couldn't figure out how to link it to the media files and batch import wouldn't let me import an MXG file, so I ended up just dragging all the media files into the bins from the media tool.

I edited.

I am now ready to replace the low res DNxHD 36 720p files with DNxHD 10bit 1080p files to do some color correction and a final output.
I put all the high res files in to /avid mediafiles/2 (I created a new folder just ot keep the low res and high res files seperate and myself more organised)
but when i go to relink the low res clips to a high res clip in avid it always just tells me that no clips were relinked.
I have tried every possible combination of options in the relink window, and nothing has worked.

Can anyone lend me a hand in my relinking? Have i overlooked something, maybe i'm just doing it completely wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreceaited.

Thank You!

Try selecting your sequence and the new high rez clips and select the "relink to selected" option in the relink dialog box.

have you tried unlinking the sequence first?
have you tried hiding the original media by copying it to another folder outside of the media files directory, replacing it with the high res clips, and deleting the msm files for rescanning?
have you tried relinking to that specific res?
