LifeDebayered Studio Rentals is looking for a part time prep technician to help with our growing business. We are a local (family owned bi-racial husband and wife run) rental house that caters to the small to medium budget projects from music videos to short films.
We rent everything from cameras, lighting to grip and specialty gear.
We are currently seeking a prep tech for Friday and Monday from 8am to 5pm with the possibility to expand hours to full time.
Job role:
Handle the pulling of equipment for orders. Verify proper operation and configuration of each package and swap out parts to ensure an optimal customer experience.
Check out orders using our inhouse inventory system
Work with customers to modify or change out orders as well as suggest accessories as needed.
Check in orders, verify operation and inspect for damage
clean and handle light maintenance.
experience:
past experience as an AC or prep tech is a plus.
must have a general understanding of camera and lens system configurations as well as experience using most major motion picture cameras.
(RED, BlackMagic and ARRI preferred)
Previous experience with grip and lighting equipment and general knowledge of the types of items and their names.
inventory software experience a +, at least general computer skills with spreadsheet or data entry type software.
Customer service or retail experience a plus (just good people skills a minimum)
