  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Help! Video rec/playback looks like a green and black negative

Doing an interview and all of a sudden the video looks like Predator vision!

Playback shows the same. The histogram has changed as well, with RGB
hills on the left and skinny spikes on each channel way to the right.

I have checked that all of the display tools are unchecked. Anyone know what this is
and how to remedy? Thanks
 
Have you tried taking the lcd lemo cable in and of the touch screen or maybe another LEMO cord?

Is it doing the same to an external monitor?

I've had this happen and then when I took out the cord and put it back in this went away, it was like one of the pins wasn't connecting right.

It is doing the same thing to an external monitor. I have tried shutting down, ejecting media, unhooking
the LEMO to the 5" touch, no good. This is bizarre
 
Are you monitoring RAW or some flavour of colour science? If the latter - try switching to RAW (just touch the histogram and then select RAW).
It that helps I suspect somehow your "look" got messed up. If even the RAW view shows the same - I would be calling RED...
Also - if you can - try re-loading the firmware...

sounds like a missing connection, something wrong in electronics (cable or logic board)
 
Took firmware 29 up to 33, Reset to factory defaults, called RED. They say it's a new one for them. I sent a LOG file
and a picture of the monitor's screen with the "Predator vision." I attempted to black-shade and calibration failed. Damn
