I'm truly impressed with what RED's been doing recently, HDRx™ is mindblowing and I'm really looking forward to trying it out.

I realize that the Epic project you embarked on is extremely difficult and complicated. I'm willing to wait for my Epic as long as needed, because I do know it's the answer to all of my prayers.

Nevertheless, just as many other redusers, I would love to hear some words of comfort as far as the schedule is concerned. Yes, it's a sensitive topic, and it's due to change.

Not too long time ago Jim mentioned that the Epic will be out by the end of the year in his QnA thread, then a week ago we were informed about delays.

I'm fine with delays but I'd like to know how much of a delay we're talking about, at least a ballpark please.

I think a lot of us will be able to sleep well at night knowing that the epic will be out by the end of this year, or it will be out in 6 months or by the end of next year.

Please RED team, help us sleep at night.

Godspeed

Seriously? If you're looking to sleep well at night, wrong industry and definitely wrong company. This is the industry, company and product right at the bleeding edge...

Nah.. I'm with Luk on this one. It's about time for a renewed schedule.. So we can have a new deadline to miss! (Sorry Jim.. Just playing... Actually.... Not....)

But you're still my bud!

How about an update on when you THINK things might start to ship?

cheers to negativity!

What's negative about reality? Do you know when the stock market is going up? How about where to discover oil? Expecting an iron-clad schedule to be magically revealed is a misreading of RED. But Cheers all the same, it's happy hour somewhere in the world.

This may be a little bit of a nit, but I have followed this conversation pretty closely and the only "schedule change" that I recall being discussed is for Scarlet; that HDRx™ would delay it by some indeterminate amount. I guess one could INFER that HDRx™ is also delaying Epic but I don't believe (but could have missed) that such was stated.

Since we don't really know what specific milestones were in RED's delivery schedule, perhaps HDRx™ was actually something they have been planning to experiment with for awhile. That would mean that they are, at least based on their own internal schedules - which none of us know anyway - "on track."

Not saying delivery is just around the corner. Just pointing out that HDRx™, in some form, may have actually been part of the plan for quite awhile and thus, not delaying anything.

Pretty much the last word on schedules was "We don't do schedules anymore."

How can Epic be the answer to all your prayers?? It's only a camera.

It wont end all wars or beautify the ugly. It's a camera.

What do you want to do with your Epic that you can't do now on another camera?

Seriously, stop worrying about it and go create something. Anything...
