The 2148 shoot down in this evening!!

We never have any problem since it arrives two months ago. we are in love with it.

This evening begin shut down two times, and when we turn it on the camera restart normaly.

one hour later it goes down and it begins before lots of trys and goes down again in ten minutes or less.

We test with batteries and DC. we try to push the botton ten second without anything conected to the body. nothing.

The times it goes down the back screen tilt for a seconds before turn off.

Pleeeeaaase!! help me i´m in a big production film 62 people looking at me.:bye2:

Did you "seat" the battery properly? Call RED Bomb Squad for help. (949) 206-7900.

Jim

Please call support ASAP.

Does it happen the same way on battery and house power?

What sort of temperature conditions are you under?

Try this. Unplug all power. Hit the power button once per second, 5-10 times. This will reset the camera. I wish you luck.

We test with batteries and DC

I have had problems with batteries unseating and shutting down the camera. Happened yesterday after an hour time-lapse. Lost the shot. I have talked with Red and they will look at it when the audio board upgrade is done.

If it happened on DC, I have no idea. Call the bomb squad and good luck.

THANKS EVERYBODY!!

Sean from the squad it´s on it. the promblem stills over us. We have another body in reserve and Mr. Dan is acelerating the process to take it this week.

There´s a little sound like a Bzzzzzzz!, when it it fails to run. we cannot turn it on in the last hour.

It´s very strange. like a nightmare. we have another one Red here but this night we are filming an action secuence and we need the two cameras.

near one hundred people with torchs still looking at me.

Thanks red for be the fast!

I never upgrade, the 2148 comes and follows with 3.2.5

4k 2:1 RC36, CF 8Gb. Only Element BOB. Lcd. thats all.

thanks again. Reduser rocks!

Deanan I´m in the canary islands but around one o´clock in the night. really cold at this moment.

yes same problem battery and DC.

Interesting timing. I have an early camera and battery system. I never used it 'till last Saturday night. I had one of my Reds on a battery. Worked fine, but when I changed batteries I could not get power even though the battery was fully charged. I finally just got an extension cord and used an AC supply: No more problem. (Except that it was a live event and they had to keep waiting for the camera to reboot after each time I moved it to another area.)
Wasn't there some sort of recall for early battery setups?
I thought I read that here somewhere.

neathedo, can you send me a pic of your BATTERY PLATE (on your RED CRADLE or QUICKPLATE) so I can see if it is current generation?
