Hi All,

I am seeking assistance here as I am no sure what would be the problem with my Red One MX. There is an occasional glitch and flicker in the top right of the frame of a test clip that I shot. It is not a dropped frame as based on what the metadata is telling me. It is like some form of " Discoloration " which occurs in a flicker. I have a done a blackshade calibration but still this issue occurs randomly . I will post the video and info here for your reference. Anyone out there have the same issues and would be able to troubleshoot?

Based on the pictures, Frames 1965 and 1966 are "discolored" whereas Frames 1964 and 1967 are fine. The image is a frame of my black living room sofa.

Is this footage direct from a camera Red Drive or RedMag, or from a backed up copy on another hard drive? This can be the kind of error that can occur in copying.

If on the copy, see if it's also on the original camera media.

Also post some other samples from other shots.

Hi Eric ,

Sorry for the late reply. The footage is direct from the RED DRIVE. No copying involved. I have documented another sample of the glitch which i will show here :

My first guess would be reinstalling firmware (I recommend v32.0.3) + blackshading + restart. If the problem persists, I'd suspect hardware. Camera, not the drive.

if that always fails diagnostics ain't bad from Red
