DSMC2 8K Helium S35 8K

Who can help me here? Do i have to change somthing in my Mac?

Try not using ADD since it stands for Advanced Dragon DeBayer - not meant for Monstro or Helium sensors...

Robert,

First, How much memory do you have allocated to Redcine-X? You can check this in under the "Edit" menu then "Preferences" then "System". You can give Redcine-X more if that doesn't affect your other system programs too much.

Next, how are you deriving your .TIFFs?, Is it as a .TIFF from the Export menu or as a single frame from the camera icon in the bottom left hand corner of the Viewer window?

If you use the camera Icon, make sure that ".TIFF" is selected in the "Snapshot" sub menu.

I would go into the "Stills Workspace" under the "Workspace" Menu.

Next, I would import a 8k clip and let it cache.

Then, while the clip was playing continue to press "E" until all of the frames that I wanted where in my bin.

Next, "Right click" inside the bin to select all the clips.

Then, "Ctrl + E" for Export, then next to "Source" select "Bin (selected Stills)". Choose the .TIFF stills format from the dropdown menu. Then make any changes to the .TIFF "setup" settings you need to make.

Next, hit "Export" to tell it where you want your stills to be located/stored( I made a folder earlier). Wait for the number of clips being exported at the top in the "Export" header to go from the total number being exported to completion,"Export(15) to "Export", then check your folder for the clips.

Thank you very much, i'm going to try this all! It worked well before my upgrade to DMSC2 last week!
Kind regards

Thank you Rand, it was the memory limit!! Changed it to the max and it worked! I always did the snapshot. In 6 K i always worked with the ADD, but indeed not working in 8K. Thanks for your workflow to get in the photo way!!

kind regards

And when you want an even higher resolution try Topaz A.I. Gigapixel, the first upscaling progam that actual works. Be prepared for hugh .tiff files when you upscale and don't use the Enhance Image when your source material is good(gives kind of a plastic look).

Thanks for the info Misha, I will have to try that program out.
