I've been struggeling with this for a while. I would like a secure and safe way of having handles on both sides.
Here's what I have so far:
- Top plate
- bottom plate
- 2x side ribs for left side.
- DSMC top mount adjustable.
- 2x top sliding handles.
- Accessory Attachment Bracket
With the top mount installed I can slide a top hande on the right side it it's very solid. For the left side I would like a solution other than the "outrigger handle" because it looks as if it would interfere with the follow focus.
That side handle needs to be sturdy so I can firmly hold the camera with the rear battery, touch screen mounted on top and Matte box in front. (it's an arri mmb-2 and "lightweight" for what it is..) The total weight is around 16 pounds for this setup.
I can probably put rosette adapters or a swat rail?? but then would that be solid enough when hooked to the side ribs?
If anybody can help me decide what pieces to get that would be of great help. Thanks.
