Check out the LEDZ line. Especially the BRUTE16 equivelant to a 200w HMI fixture, with an on-board dimmer, 40-year lifespan and around $2,500 a winner!

Thanks for the feedback Spinflight.
You said you're using the Diva over the arris. What do you think the Diva 400's are equivalent to in light (2k, 1k, 650?). Does the dim feature change the temp? I heard that the vista beam "dials" by turning off/on lamps one by one.
It sounds like a great concept of being able to "throw" soft light. Can the vista beam use household current?
thanks.
Do you have an images of the light quality, etc? Not product pictures. Are multiple shadows created? Is it a soft light, hard light? I can better understand the light if I saw it lighting an normal interior and a model.
Thanks.
I haven't used the 16, but I have 2 brute9's and I like them a lot. They DO cast multiple shadows though, which means I only use them as bounce and they work perfect when back lighting. They are not the cheapest option, but they're reasonable (REDuser's get a significant discount) and they're built like tanks! I've gotten really lazy with them, tossing them in the my car or setting them up in precarious situations where I've watched them lose balance and fall 7 feet to the floor with barely a scratch. And they're small and compact which makes them even more convenient.
I can at least say it's definitely worth going to check out in person.
Remind me not to loan you my lights, Brandon.![]()
So they're good for bouncing. I could get a cheap par for that. Must be something more to them. Have you tried putting a diffuser in front to make it a single source soft light? Does it have enough punch and even spread for that?
Where and how do you get the discount as a REDuser?...(REDuser's get a significant discount)....
Where and how do you get the discount as a REDuser?
..you mean only when I buy from the Brute manufacturer directly, right?just say so when you contact them
Contact Malcolm Mills who co-founded the company. WWW.LED-Z.COM
Maybe he's aware of the discount? mmills@westbayfinancialcorp.com
And if you find a discount on Dedolights, let me know too! I'll be shopping around and maybe we can compare prices. What are you looking for in Dedo lights?
..you mean only when I buy from the Brute manufacturer directly, right?
Are there any discounts when you purchase through a distributor?
I am interested in getting some Dedolights, and planning on going through B&H, as I typically do, but is there a place, a holy grail, that offers REDuser discounts on a variety of gear?!? ....like Dedolights :greedy: ?
yeah, I got my discount through Malcolm. contact him through led-z.com or just send him a private message on here.
BJ at customsupply.com seems to be most people's stand-by for discounts on gear.
I am comparing the DLH4 and the DLHM kits, I want to get one or two of them.
Do you know if there is any difference between them, besides the fact that the DLHM has the power supply/dimmer attached to the light head, and the powersupply/dimmer for DLH4 is attached via cable?
In the brochure, it says, "The Dedolight DLH4 light heads may be used in the rain, snow and although not recommended, have been demonstrated while totally immersed in water." It doesn't mention the DLHM. I don't know if this was a mistake or it's only the DLH4...
