I have a new RED Drive that has been used for less than 2 weeks.

The other day it dropped from a 6-inch shelf to the ground.

After the drop, the drive refuses to mount to my desktop (Macbook Pro). Final Cut Pro 7 also doesn't recognize it (but Disk Utility does).

My RED One sees it and can record to it. I can also playback from the RED.

What is going on with the drive?! How can I get my computer to recognize it?

Thanks for all the help!

Hello Obi,

Not sure how hard it hit the ground but in some cases one of the spinning disks could be damaged not allowing it to communicate with the computer properly. If you find your self at a dead end i would suggest contacting your Bomb Squad Rep for a RMA or filing a support ticket on http://www.red.com/support.

Best Regards,

Please excuse me if this is a super-noob question, but: where can I find this "Bugs, Help" forum?

Thanks.

Hello Obi,

Located under RED One General.
