I have a Lacie D2 qudra 750GB hard drive that I recently used for a music video shoot with the RED. I used it on my macbook pro and it was formatted for Mac OS Extended (Journaled). The drive is brand new and was working fine on set but is now giving me problems.
When I connect it a message pops up that says: "Disk Insertion: The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer" (see picture 1).
Then, when I open disk utility it says that the drive is empty and is formatted for MS-DOS (FAT32)? Also, when I connect it it looks as though the drive is separated into two partitions (see picture 2 & 3).
As far as I know, no one tampered with the drive as it traveled between set and my house so I'm wondering what happened? Is there anything I can do to try and recover the files?
Luckily we made a backup but it has considerably slowed down our production schedule.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
