Hey guys- Red isn't open today so I'm hoping someone on the forum will see this and know what to do. The camera buttons suddenly stopped working so we had to an improper shutdown. Once we booted the camera back up, we get no picture from Red monitor or SDI feed. Camera won't record if a record button is pressed. The only function the camera will do is an improper shutdown again. We are thinking of trying to reinstall the firmware. The monitor does flash very slightly and quickly when the camera boots up right at first, but then is completely off from then on.

We are on set now trying to get it running, so time is pressing on us.

Please advise if you can- thank you.

If you're running off battery, try powering off AC. Reseed all cables. Remove the side SSD and clean contact points, and reseed. Try and do a reset by holding down the power button for around 15-20 seconds or so, until you hear the fans come on. If none of that works, try reflashing latest release firmware.

Disconnect everything for 30 seconds with no battery connected.
Mount the battery, etc,

Press and hold the record button when you start up (15 seconds).

This will force a factory reset.

if it comes back up you can then consider reinstalling firmware
