Hi guys
I was copying from my 512SSD disk, the cable to the mini usb was a bit flimsy and got partially lose while copying so it lost connection to the drive.
Now I cannot access the SSD disk any more neither on the computer or in the Epic.
Are there any recover tools available, or do I just have to send it to RED?
It has a pretty important interview, I can shoot it again, but would of course prefere to not do that.

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Andreas

if you're using a mac, try running disk utilities and see if it is connected but not mounted. If it's not even showing up there, try another cable. If it is showing but not mounted, you can mount it with the button near the top. Finally if it is already mounted, then quit disk utilities and check your preferences to ensure that hard disks is checked (to show up on your desktop).

Just some thoughts...

I tried Redundead but it simply cannot find the drive. It would be one thing if the files were corrupt or so, but there problem is that it feels like the harddrive doesn't even exist. The Epic doesn't even think I have a harddrive connected and the Apple reacts the same way.
I guess I have to talk to Red tomorrow unless you guys have any other ideas.
Pfff, I was really looking forward to watching this interview, it looked really good.

If you are on a Mac you could consider Disk Warior.
Plug your Reddrive to the Mac and run disk warior,
then check if the Red drive apear in the list of drive conected to the computer.

Hiya Steve. What is sudo?
I did the file list in redundead
/Andreas
sudo is when you are using the comande window I think.

Cheers
B.

Hiya, I tried sudo with the listing, didn't work.
I think I will switch over to some recover software on the pc because my apple doesn't have a DVD (which DiskWarior requires)
Has anyone managed to get back a red ssd that the operating system cannot find?
Best wishes
/Andreas
