Need some help here......Doing an aerial project in Las Vegas and the director wants to fly directly over the beam of light from the Luxor hotel to flare the lens. We'll be 700' above the top of the property. Am I risking damage to the sensor or anything else on the weapon? As always any help is greatly appreciated.

If pointing it at the sun doesn't hurt it, you're probably ok. That's going to be such an insane exposure shift that it'll probably be more a white blast than a flare.

Are you using a Shotover, Cineflex, Wescam type areal stabilizer or is it going to be hand-held shoot? If you are using any of the aforementioned products, you could do an iris (aperture) ramp when in range.

Did the shot, and it worked great......Clear shot.....Slight flare......Full white out. Best thing about it, NO sensor damage!
