2k Timelapse. Red 18-50mm. Some image sweetening applied with After Effects.

Here's the movie.

Off the top of my head I think the frame rate was around 5-6fps. The clouds were moving quite fast so I went with a faster frame rate. I shot this using the varispeed mode. Not timelapse mode.

The hot spot in the middle was added in post. I was going for a "bathed in light" kinda feel. The only part blown out on the original footage was the silver lining. Here's the original.

No, the sensor protection was not a problem for this shot. The silver lining is the backlit part of the cloud's edge. And I think it's also an english idiom. "Every cloud has a silver lining."

This is amazing. I like intense dramatic feel that you created.

i have selly question cause i dont have any background on Timelapse
how you guys do it ?
i know you have some setting in camera will do this ?
but how it works ?
would camera still on for more than 6 or 8 hours doing this timelpase ?
or its switch off then it turned on when supposed to capture it's next take
as you defined it to do ??
