We've seen a number of great examples of low light Epic footage, but it would be fantastic to see some direct sunlight/high contrast/skin tone.

I know the folks with the Epics are busy, but if you happened to have shot something like this. It would be great to see how the HDRx highlights are handled on people.

Direct light, low ambient fill. Like in a parking lot on a bright day.

For example:

Thanks

I remember Ketch mentioning they were going to get into the HDRx but I was under the impression that HDRx was not yet enabled on the EPIC-M. Am I wrong in that regard?

HDRx is enabled in EPIC-M. The post tools are coming along but remedial right now for customers. The good post tools are in development apps. Enabling in REDCINE-X as soon as possible.

Yes Tim,

I did said that, and we are prepping for the next shoot for HDRX, which as Jim just said, it is indeed
enable, and can't wait to this next shoot were we will shoot HDRx up to 6 Stops ;)

Larry,

That clip does look great and it is a great high contrast fast motion example. The greenscreen example was great also, but again the lack of context makes it hard to transpose to a practical set.

I'm hoping to see something that we have a better frame of reference for -- people. Open sun is one of the toughest shooting situations. The shadows go very dark very quickly, and you usually let the highlights burn.

I don't think shooting HDRx is a substitute for increasing the ratio of ambient fill or softening the source to improve modeling. I was interested to see how the highlight rolls off on skin.
