Maybe there is theatrical scope for objects that are briefly 'uncomfortably' bright compared to the rest of the screen.
Perhaps sensing a very bright object from a part of the screen that you are not looking at (eg the image of the sun) would actually heighten realism?
Does anyone have insight in the Dolby Vision rollout schedule for the manufacturers that the guidebook / white paper cite?
