Been trying for the last 2 days a way to make my hdmi connection work. I tried the frequency and the DVI/720p options. I tried to connect my computer (VGA to HDMI), to the monitor and it worked fine. Tried already 3 different hdmi cables. Rebooted camera, upgraded (was using 30.5 and now 30.7). PLEASE, any help?????
Thanks in advance

What kind of monitor are you using?

Computer monitors tend not to work as well (in my findings) as cheap TV's.

I've been using a super-cheapo 1080p tv with HDMI from Target in conjunction with a Brite-View Wireless HD transmitter, and it works great.

Could be a compatibility thing?

had the same issue using a lilliput monitor...was unable to get signal via hdmi off red one.

I don't know if I'm happy or sad... As you, i am using a cheap 19" AOC monitor/TV. As i understood you guys think it's the monitor...any other thoughts??

Try a different HDMI cable.

I did actually get Aaron's HDMI monitor to work on my personal red using a different cable and the wireless system in between. Have you had the HDMI port on this particular red work before? What build are you using? The HDMI port on 50% of the reds I've used is busted.

Hey Dan,
It did work before, tried to use diferent cables but didn't work. The build is 30.7... I'll try a diferent monitor and let you guys know.
Thanks again

Check the audio ports and see if they are working and working at full volume. If not -- the entire board is fried. Happened to mine. If it worked before then the board may be the problem -- if so then the camera still records images but not good audio. The SDI should still work. Perhaps you can rent a monitor.

I recommend to NOT plug or unplug the HDMI with the power on the camera nor the monitor as that can cause this problem.

If the audio is fine then try some other TV's or monitors. I have had about a 60% success rate with computer monitors working. Many do not work at all. The best ones are the 1440x900 rez. But I had to take the camera to Tiger Direct and try a bunch until I found one that did work.

Good luck.

Alright, I appreciate all the answers. Dan was the winner, just a simple compatibility problem, worked perfectly on a different monitor.
Thanks to you all
