I use the HDMI output along with the LCD screen.
Like it a lot but I am wondering is there anything i can do to view the full entire screen that the LCD displays on my 30 inch cinema display monitor VIA HDMI output?

it is cutting off the bottom and id like to see the histogram and other information.

thanks

If you are on Build 15, try setting SYSTEM / MONITOR / PREVIEW to MENUS (DVI)

Your monitor may or may not lock up to that signal ( which is 1280 x 848 pixels ) but of it does you will see all the mens.

HDMI output problem

HDMI output problem

Hi all,

I'm running Build 15 (2.2.1) with LCD on camera.

When I plug in a HDMI cable, the camera freezes (during playback the LCD image is lost, goes black, with menus remaining but also freezing)).

What's the secret to make it work ? Sequence of setting I need to set to allow LCD & HDMI output to output ?

Thanks ...

Is there any reason you couldn't pad that signal with black above / below the 848 image so the signal sent 1280 x 1024? Then it would look right on a lot of monitors.

Yes there is a reason... I use an LG L206W (1680 x 1050) PC monitor and it has never given me a problem with either pixel output. As a pretty standard multi-sync monitor, there should be plenty of others that can also.
