Hi all,

I need to know for sure if Weapon MG with I/O V_lock expander will support two monitors at the same time.
That is, without any touchscreen or EVF connected, can I use an HDMI monitor displaying all the camera menus (for my control) and a second monitor connected to the HDSDI at the same time (for the DOP)?
If so, can the second monitor show only the video (without camera controls / guides) and with a LUT at the same time as the HDMI one is showing the RAW image/histogram?

Thanks!

if you set it up correctly it can do what you want, it is laid out in a little bit of a confusing way but once you get the hang it's easy

Sdi,HDMI and one red monitor device can all work together at the same time. You also have control over each monitor for on screen displays.

And the RED LCD needs to be connected to the top pogo :), HDMI doesn't work if it is connected to the side one

Thank you very much for the quick and very helpful answers. No problem about setting up each monitor. Just want to be sure it will work before buying some extra connections and monitor.

Are you sure about this? I mean, I use the Weapon inside an underwater housing for uw shoots, without any red monitor attached. Just an exterior monitor connected to the HDMI and it works just fine. And what I wanted to do is to connect the second monitor to the HDSDI port and control it in a different way. Without any red monitor connected.
Or could it be that if there is a red monitor connected to the side pogo it will disconnect the HDMI port? Does this make any sense? It's a bit strange that without any red monitor attached the HDMI works and with one connected it will stop work...

Cheers,

Yes, very sure :) If you have a LCD on the side -> when you plug in something in the HDMI, the LCD on the side goes black :D They share the same signal path. So if you don't put a RED LCD on the side your HDMI works. (or the LCD on the side works, and HDMI is blank, there is an options on Monitor Control - Advanced to set this)

Or if you put a RED LCD on the top pogo, your HDMI works also. SDI I think is not affected by either.
