I need to translate the RedRay HDMI outputs to SDI. My projector (4K) only accepts SDI and there is no option for HDMI. I figure I could purchase the HDMI to SDI converters and be up and running. However, will my RedRay (which is on the way to me) block the HDMI port when it detects something that does nto pass the HDCP handshake? Typically translator boxes that do this warn that their device will not allow copyright HDCP content to SDI or similar. In the case of RedRay its use in my case would be a media server for the 4K projector in our big theatre. So...

Will my plan work? Or do I sell my projector fast?

Sell your projector! The RedRAY does not have SDI. The RED Crimson Projector has built-in RED RAY and it also has SDI inputs for your existing media server.
