i am using the hd-sdi for my client monitor is there anyway to show just the image with out all the menu info?

Plug in the Red EVf and RED LCD, there should be no info showing over HD-SDi...

i dont use an evf any other options?

You can tape the screen off so that you dont see the menu items etc... And just leave the framing up. I always have to tape the monitor to the frame guides for the director.

Usually... Depending on exactly How the monitor is hooked up. Dont use a computer monitor, get an HDTV that is 19" or 22"

But that is the way the HD-SDi works anyway. The only "menus" that you would see on HD-SDI is Clip Name, Timecode and Frame Guides.

Do you want more or less than that ?

there is a 42 panasonic that is 1080 over in video village i could try it on i will report back.

the director wants nothing but the image what a pain.

On my jvc dtv17 l3d, there is a safety marker and a custom marker that override the image, with your choice of format, percentage, black, frame, or line.

You should get it, it's very well done.

Hi Berenger,

Is this a 17" LCD TV with HDMI input? Did a quick search but can't find it? Any link to specs and price?

i wish you could get the Clip Name, Timecode and Frame Guides on the Directors monitor with both the EVF and LCD plugged in. it would help continuety and save me having to tape the monitor. the Red One can't do this but i'm hoping the Epic can.

Understood. Is he cool with having the look around area, or does he really want a clean feed plus those items?
