Hey guys,

I'm trying to preview the output from my R1 MX to an iKan 7" monitor via the HD-SDI outputs. I get signal when then camera is initializing, but once it's initialised, I lose signal. Is there something wrong with my output settings? Or the cable? I'm using the bnc cable that came with the R1 and connected it to an HD-SDI cable. I dont think it could be a cable issue, I wouldnt get signal initially if that was the case.

I'd appreciate if anyone has any experience/info on this and had similar issues.

Regards,
Niraj

Sounds like your output video settings need to be adjusted.

Check you are sending an output that your iKan monitor can work with (check the monitor specifications).

Things to look for in your settings:

System>Monitor>Preview set to VIDEO (720p) not MENUS (DVI) as not all monitors can handle the non-standard aspect ratio resolution of the MENUS display
System>Monitor>PVW Refresh set to 59.94Hz or 50Hz depending on your monitor/local video frequency standard

There are also Playback display settings, but leave those at the Default of 720p (not 1080p) for most situations.

Hey Eric,

Thanks for your reply and your tips. Got it to work.

Cheers,
Niraj
