Hi,I have a quesion for those who have experience with HDlink Pro and RED

I am testing the HDlink Pro and the RED One, i am using an Eizo CG211 Monitor at the moment ,SDI--->DVI

When the Camera is running a 24 fps the signal appear in the monitor,it seems stable but sometimes disappear for like 2 seconds and sometimes there is kind of digital interference (like not perfect signal) ,

But if the camera is running at 23,98 fps the signal is not stable at all ...

Also when the signal is not stable the white LED in the HDlink start to blink..

Here the question: is my monitor that does not accept that signal or is the HDlink that doesn't accept RED signal? The fact that the Hdlink Led blink make me think that it may be the Hdlink or the Hdlink can communicate with the monitor and it understand that the monitor doesn't accept that signal?)

I think is weird because i thought that the HDSDI always output at 59.94...

Thanks

G

I have been able to run Red HD-SDI to HD-Link>Samsung 22" monitor successfully. The only thing I have noticed is that occasionally the picture drops out for a second, but I have theorized that possibly it could be a cabling issue or possibly heat issue as the box gets very hot. But otherwise, it does run.

Tech support at BM is spotty, at least in my experience.

Steve, at what framerate you are able to have a picture on the screen?
Because I can have an image ( even if sometimes desappear) at 24fps ...
At 23.98 basically no picture on the screen ...(drop out ever seconds)
Also 720p 50hz or 59.94?

Thanks

G

The live preview is 720P 59.94, which works fine. I haven't tried this combo with 1080P 23.98 yet, but I think it would work fine. Next time I go to shoot with this monitor I'll let you know how the playback goes.

Any News?

I just bought the HDLink Pro and I get very unstable signal.
