Dear Community,

I've got an upcoming project where we'll be shooting 4k@25 fps, and 1080p@60fps for certain scenes. However, as RED does not perform downscaling to my information, I'll have a much higher crop factor on 1080p. Is there any way of working around this and using the 4k sensor frame for HD? I haven't heard of any setting yet, but maybe there is a trick?

Thanks a lot,
Remo

You can use the lookaround function by holding the resolution tab to get lower crop factor at the same framerate out of the HDMI or SDI port if you have an external recorder

Thank you, that's good to know!

Aah right. So I think there is no way (except renting wider lenses^^). Thanks for your help.
