HD ARRAY & SAS vs. eSATA Speed for a Windows7 PC ??

I have a couple of questions concerning HD Arrays to use with a Windows7 PC and editing/storing RED-One footage:

Since my budget limit is pretty much set at NOT over $2,000.oo, would this be a good option, the TR8X-BP16T w/8x2TB SATA HDD:

Also, is SAS a better choice for speed than eSATA.?
