Hazer / Fog Machine Hazerdous to RED DSMC

Hello everyone!

I had a question in regards to the water based fog machines and their effects on cameras / electronics.
I shoot a fair amount of music videos, renting various hazers from Wooden Nickel and such, and it was brought to my attension
by a Steadicam operator who covered their gear when flying the camera through haze.
He had mentioned the potential hazards of fog/haze for his rig & cameras as well.

I am sure a room filled to the max with haze is not ideal, but on sets with water based haze filling the room for atmosphere,
is this an issue I should be concerned about in terms of harming my Epic?

I just recently finished a few shoots this past month where we had light haze for up to 10 hours and a shoot whedre we had thick haze for 3 hours. I was using a water based hazer. There was no damage or residue on the Epic. I’m not an expert but the Epic fans may kick in if it’s detecting more moisture in the air. I can’t give you a definitive answer if long term use will result in damage but from my short experience I have not had any issues with haze and the Epic.
