Hi I want to improve the audio quality. Right now I use the RØDE NTG-2 and NT1 on a boom and then connect straight in the hvx200 (no external mixer).
The microphones of interests is Sennheiser MKH 416 or a RØDE NTG-3.
Im also looking at two field mixers, Sound Devices MixPre and the 302. Whats the main differens of those to? Will the mixpre be enough or what
will I be missing out from the 303. Do you think its ads alot to the soundquality over onboard preamp.
But Im still consider getting a Lavalier instead.
What do you think will "up" the audio quality the most? The work that the mic is going to be used for is comercial and
corporate videos. Both outside, inside companies and studio.
pros of lavailer:I guess its easier to work with in those situations youre a one man crew. With a lavalier you don't fall of axis so easy. Also its kind of hard to get close with a shotgun when doing a wideshot.
cons of lavailer: Everybody keeps telling stay wired ass long as possible. The one wireless I have listens to (I believe it was the EW112-P G2 from Sennheiser) did not have so good audio as I hoped.
The speach was missing the higher ranges. So it did not give so clear impression. We did not use it with a external mixer.
What other lavalier systems in near price range would you recommend?
Thanks for your time
