It seems as though this new monitor is just as functional as the Portkeys BM7 II DS U and Portkeys BM5IV WR 5, but since it has an Android-based OS it should be able to run the RED Control app (which I haven't seen anywhere anyone talking about) even though the internal Accsoon software only so far supports a limited number of Sony cameras. But interestingly, each M7 Pro is factory calibrated to have accurate colors, so that appears to have it that one big advantage possessed by the SmallHD Cine 7 and RED Digital Cinema DSMC3 RED Touch 7.0". The weird thing is that even though it can receive and send at 4K/60fps, that applies only to the HDMI connectors because the SDI are only 3G, so one would have to use one of those little converter boxes (like this one: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/microconverters/techspecs/W-CONU-17).
I wasn't as familiar with Accsoon. I knew they made So the proper noun "Accsoon" to my brain sounds like some cheap Amazon brand, but in actually that couldn't be farther from the truth, because they appear to make some pretty pro wireless gear.
Has anyone tried this monitor that can report back how it works with the RED Komodo?
If so, are there any downsides or surprising results?
