  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Has anyone else seen this?

In two separate clips I have come across a green tint that will last for either 1 frame or 3 frames. In both cases it happens starting with the second frame of the clip. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Yeah, i have seen this before. Did you see full green screen frames as well?
It happened when we had bad R3D transfer off a CF card.
I recommend using R3D Manager to copy files off rolls or magazines.
Try going back to your original RED drive or CF card, to check if the original footage has the same artifacts.

Thanks for the response. That's what I thought at first also. We use Shot Put Pro to make the transfer of the card. But then to double check I went back to the original Card and opened the R3D in RedAlert and the same problem. I do not see full green screen frames also. The green tint lasts for 1 to 3 frames and then the rest of the clip is normal. I've seen transfer problems before but never ones that look like this.

When a CF reader or CF card gets too warm, it might show bad files.
We had issues, like many other users, when copying files off a hot CF card or reader, they seems to be bad. When letting the gear cool off, the files were copied just fine, with zero issues.
Re-check your CF when it's cooled down.
