Has anyone checked the small print on their Canon 5D?

This article suggests we may need to pay MPEG-LA royalties for all H264 generated material destined for professional use.... hopefully this is not true and common sense will prevail..... has anyone shooting for Broadcast or Film distribution looked into this already?
