  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Thank you for all your contributions to the community of cinematography.

I remember having a lot of discussions with you about digital cinematography back on USENET, when I didn't have the experience I do now. You have always been patient and informative.

I think the entire craft has benefited from your efforts, and I hope to emulate you as best I can in this regard.

Thank you again.

Same day, a few years ago when I was in film school, thousands of kilometers/miles away of LA or USA, coming from the movies that night, I tried to search the name of that DoP who had impressed me on that photography seen just a couple of hours before. Mere coincidence -- imdb source, it was his birthday. I thought to myself, I'd like to send him congratulations and say to him how much I had appreciated that piece of work. Funny, 'cause a few years later I had the chance to tell him (via PM through the boards) in first hand this little episode.

Glad to be here to address these humble words now, adding my voice to the crowd. I bet we will all be here in few years to congratulate him on his first academy award and more to come (you/we can write it ;-)
