Enter in your location address and get back all of the info you'll need for your call sheet.

Best of all, it's free.

Enjoy.

(full disclosure, I made it, and I hope you find it useful)

Awesome idea! Did encounter an error though. When using this address:
2415 Ala Wai Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96815, USA

The weather portion returns "array"

Not that it much matters, our weather is pretty consistent, but you might have some kind of bug in the php, thought you'd like to know. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Michael. Yesterdays influx of users pointed out a weakness in the weather system we are using for folks outside the continental US. We should have the fixes in place shortly.

I get the following error.

The popup was from IE8. In Chrome I get this message: "Fatal error: Call to undefined method worker::getTzOffset() in /home/sheetcal/public_html/loc_results.php on line 33"

Fatal error: Call to undefined method worker::getTzOffset() in /home/sheetcal/public_html/loc_results.php on line 33

Getting that error, when I enter an address

Thanks for ringing it all out...

Thanks for ringing it all out...

We are working on shoring up the international support. Time zone issues and international weather are underway, we should have the fix finished shortly. The errors you were seeing should already be fixed. The API key will take a few days to reset. It only occurs when you visit sheetcaller.com instead of www.sheetcaller.com.

There is a custom search function that will allow you to search for additional hardware stores other than home depot. Right now it is hiding in the Terms and Conditions link on the bottom of the page under "Power Tools". It isn't completely fleshed out yet so we haven't moved it into the primary interface.
We will be integrating that into the international support since there's a significant section of the planet that have never heard of Home Depot.

Thanks again for taking the time to report back issues. There's only so much testing that I can do with friends and family. We will squash the bugs quickly.

Can you rely on Google's search engine and throw it some keywords? For instance there is an excellent hole in the wall hardware store that has all the essentials a block from the address I used as an example.

It would probably require a bit of finessing though to find the perfect search keywords.

This is fantastic! Canadian support is present but buggy (the nearest hospital it could find to my house was 35km away, when there are several just a few km away, and the closest is less than 1) but as this improves, it will be fantastic!

I'm very excited about the possibilities. It was a joy to discover that clicking "directions" brings up directions in Google Maps with locations fully entered, directions up, all ready to rock and roll.

If you get this working perfectly, not only will it save countless hours of work, but perfect weather reports and hospital directions could save lives if it finds something a prod coordinator would have missed.

Gavin,
Your suggestion is exactly what we are implementing. For some of the network productions in LA they require Home Depot for some reason. If you go to the "Power Tools" link under Terms and Conditions, you can input a custom search just as you have suggested. We will be adding that functionality to the primary interface soon, including the ability to edit the search querys for the other searches as well.

Stephan,
Could you post or PM the address you searched on and the name of the hospital the system failed to find so we can attempt to refine the search terms.

Martin,
Thanks for the report, we should have weather for you soon.

Thanks to everyone that has sent us feedback and posted here, we are happy to release the international version of www.sheetcaller.com .

The traffic we've seen over the past week from all over the planet has left us stunned and pleased. If you experience any issues or would like to suggest tweeks to the tool, we openly welcome comments and suggestions.

Here's a little visualization of the usage patterns for the past week...

Faster, better, stronger...

Faster, better, stronger...

We've been hard at work making SheetCaller better. After tackling the international requests, we've set our sites on customization and optimization. We've moved the customized search "Power Tool" onto the main page, and thanks to a dramatic trimming down of the code, you should see a dramatic increase in speed.

As always, I'm interested in hearing about your experience with sheetcaller. I'm happy so many are finding it useful and would love to see it get out to everyone. So if you know an overworked PM, let them in on SheetCaller.

Thanks!

-David
