  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello,

I am mainly shooting action sports and adventures. I have been shooting with my Canon 5d mark III for some time, but have invested in an epic brain. Are there any accessories that can help my shoot for example climbing hanging of the ropes? I am a climber myself and comfortable haning in the walls. Would appreciate if it could work ok for follow shots also when not working in the mountains.

I am new to gyro or accessories that does the same job.

Regards,

Single gyro units must be mounted in pairs to achieve three-axis stabilisation. Two single gyros may be very uncomfortable to manage. The gyros by their nature have to be heavy to do their work. As well as the gyro units, you have a separate battery/inverter pack and connecting cables to contend with, all fighting to get themselves tangled in your ropes and gear. If your climb is over several days you will need replacement batteries or a method of recharging. With the new "X" arrangement of gyro pairs, the single units may begin to appear on eBay at attractive used prices.

Thank you. I will check it out. I can have some stuff in a hauling bag and haul it up afterwards, and sometimes I can just rapell down. I do not think it will be multiple days out at first, mostly single pitches or short multiple ptiches. That solution was not that expensive either.
