  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Guy trades in his RED for an A-Minima

Allan- It really does costs $275/hr (3:1 ratio) to transfer with color correction, direct to drive 1080p ProResHQ @ cinelicious. He's not using a Spirit but it certainly is a lot of bang for the buck.

Thanks for everyones comments, both good and bad. I am just glad we still have choices.

Paul Korver is a very nice guy and opened Cinelicious to fill the gap by offering great image transfers at a reasonable price. These types of places are what keeps film alive.

I just got a roll of film transferred to DV using their standard def option and even it was really, really good.

For the same price ($200 an hour), they will go to hard drive at uncompressed Quicktime. Good enough for a low budget feature. If you get picked up by a distributor you can always get it re-done.

The pricing and quality they provide at even the standard def level is really beneficial to people shooting on film. They are a first class facility.
