RED Cameras are a Huge financial commitments and if you area student finishing school doesn't make sense to invest on a Scarlet-W right now if you are not generating a lot of cash.
Maybe you find out RED is not your ideal camera (Sometimes you can see in the Marketplace section cameras with very few operational hours of people maybe disappointed with the system)
If I was you I would buy a second hand Scarlet-MX package (with little luck you may score one for $5,000) used the camera learn the system understand the benefits and limitation and around May next year when the Scarlet-W is available you should be able to sell you camera an lose a few hundreds instead of thousands in a system that is not OK for everybody. Maybe you find out with the project you are planing ti do, you need a low light monster like the A7sII which is a very capable camera.
You should check on vimeo a guy called "Kendy" and see what people is capable with a Canon 550d and a 30mm Sigma f1.4, so you will understand a nice camera won't make you a better shooter.
