Guesstimate - How long till Magnesium Weapon for new customers?

Since many of you guys are veterans of Red upgrade cycles, how long do you guys think until the Magnesium Weapon (the only one I can afford) will be available for new customers (non-upgrade) based on past release patterns? 6 months, 1 year? Is this even possible to predict?

Red is saying sometime in 2016, but that’s a pretty broad prediction.

I have thought about picking up a new Dragon and upgrading to Weapon next year, but yeah… that’s a lot of money. Obviously, it would be a lot cheaper to just buy Mag Weapon when it comes out, but it could be a good wait.

I’ve thought about buying a used Dragon and upgrading, but most of them come with old 1.8 Mags and a bunch of other stuff that I don’t need or can’t carry over to Dragon, so it ends up being the same price as buying new basically.

Since I'm not a production company, I don't desperately need it; but I do feel it would help me a bit at this stage of my career to come with a better camera like Red.

No only Weapon8K is a new sensor. or maybe just larger wafer of normal Dragon sensor- the "regular" Weapon uses same Dragon sensor, but with better electronics for better image quality and heat management, lower weight, and a few other features.
