Hi,

I have 2 GTX690 installed on my Windows 7 pc, but cant use it tothe fullest there is no update for premiere unlocking CUDA. Any advice??

I believe Premiere will only use one of your 690's, I have one myself. You need to go into Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 and open cuda_supported_cards.txt and modify it to include "GeForce GTX 690". You'll have to do this every time Premiere updates until Adobe includes the 690 like they just did for After Effects.

Works fine for CUDA in Premiere in my systems, what issues are you having? Make sure you have the latest CUDA drivers installed and you need to add it to the text file of supported cards.

That said, you have 4 GPUs between two cards and you'll only get to use one of those 4 in Premiere as it's not multi-GPU capable or aware. AfterEffects uses OpenGL acceleration for its raytrace engine. Resolve will use all of the GPU nodes.

If you have two graphic cards in the workstation, but one of them is slower and used for the gui in resolve. When you run premiere, can you choose wich card to use for premiere?

@Aaron: Ill add the GTX690 to the CUDA card list.

@Joel: that would be awesome, if thats possible.

@Jeff: Now thats a bummer, they should add multi GPU support into Premiere, also Davinci and AE flys with the GTX690s :-)

When I try to save the edited .txt file, there is a "Access Denied" dialog box :banghead:

Security permissions are set to read/execute only on the file for user accounts. Right click on the file, select properties option, go to the Security tab, and elevate the permissions for accessing the file for the "Users" group.

Thanks, it worked :-). I am coming from mac environment into PC :-E

If I can tag along on this thread, can I get a little GPU advice from you guys for my Mac Pro?

I have an ATI 5870 in the tower for GUI. I have two Quadro 4000's in the expansion chassis. I just picked up a GTX 570.

I think I'm going to have to dump one card to run the GTX 570. What should I keep and where should I keep it?

This is all for Premier CUDA and Resolve.

Thanks!
CB
