  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

We're all doing well.. Steve believes we will pass 20 units with no problem. New orders continue to come in every day.

My concern now is making sure everyone that wants into this deal will be able to get in on time.

Personally, this has been a buttload of work. Far more than I expected.

My little group buy seems to be responsible for more than $95,000 in sales.

Sheesh...

We've done well.. I think we have enough where anyone that may want JUST a follow focus, or JUST the filter package is welcome to make that order now.

It is official that for right now FORMATT will go as dark as 1.5ND with glass. No higher.. Oh well, that's not horrible.

Thank you for all the wonderful excitment. I am very proud to have been apart of this.

It's possible there may be more surprises in the coming days from my good friend David Farland, but that's another story. We'll tie this up and then see if he has anything cooking.

I'll be on a couple more times to make sure everyone is happy and taken care of.

There's no doubt that Abel Cine was the perfect choice. Steve has never said a word, but every single order had to be custom done with a LOT of different parts. (This is why there was not a set price list really.. Each one of you ordered what you needed, and it was all different) If he has not gotten back to you, please understand he is doing an incredible about of work, and, being the purchasing manager, it's cool since if something is needed, he's the one to get it!!

Steve was pretty swamped this last week. He is aware that several of you have not heard back from him and he will be in contact. Fear not, but feel free to contact him again just in case.

Do you allready know when you would start shipping? Don't want to pressure you, it's just for the info/planing etc.
I think most of the Arri-buyers will get their REDs in mid january. So it would be nice to get it around then.

I'm not in the Sales Dept. so I don't really know. It's just a question of when the manufacturers can deliver the products. Everything gets allocated as soon as a client orders it, and then we ship it out the day it comes in the door (okay, maybe the next day at worst). If Arri & Formatt have it in stock then it's really a matter of days. If it has to come from factories overseas then there will be a slight delay.

Hey thanks for jumping in here Mitch.. Guys they are having some techincal glitches over at Abel this morning.. Steve is close to a heart attack!

About 15 E-mails showed up over the weekend, so he KNOWS you all need answers.

Tell you what, anyone that has made an order, if you have NOT heard from Steve, let me know you are ordering and I will see to it you are in. Promise.

If there are some of you out there that want in but need a day or two, let me know and I will check to see if there is anything we can do for you

Bottom line: Anyone that puts in an order will be taken care of.. Promise. Just remember that each order can contain over 20 different parts... So better to be slow and right, than fast and wrong. To keep it simple we could have gone with a straight package that no one could change, then it would have been very fast, but Steve opted for the additional work and is doing each one custom.
