  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hello Everyone,
I have recently tested out the True ND filters that Band Pro sells. I love them. I have put the 1.5 ( the highest it goes) without any color shift and they all seem to match pretty close across the board. My friend Ryan Walters did this great test with them and a few more I would have you all checkout before buying. The Great ND Test 2013. This are very high end filters and usually out of the price range for some people. But for me I wont use another one if I can, as these were wonderful. True ND has some info online also I will link to here: Video and this form for those Sony users. Read here. They also shift out IR so no Purple or Red tints.

I have talked to the seller and they have agreed upon the following deal. 4X5.6 (They also have Larger, for different price)

50 people need to order to get this

Filter Set cost normal is $3100.00
Group buy cost is $2650.00 @530.00 Each if you buy the set.

Filters come in : .3, .6, .9, 1.2, 1.5

Seems right now we can only get sets for cheap. They can sell solos but for the higher price.

Anyone else interested in these?

Not close yet Sam. Need more sign ups. These are the best ND's I ever worked with. Nd is going to be important with new High ISO cameras. Even these tests I have seen use ND.
 
50 doesnt seem like it's gonna happen. 50 people wanting to throw down 3k on filters...

I'm interested. Maybe they'll reduce their number?
 
Supposedly there is going to be some uber ND's announced at NAB. I'm looking and will report what I find
 
Hey Zeb, wow thats great to hear, right in Time for when we need two Sets.. even though delivery might be a while.

If you talk to them at NAB, we would be in for a Group Buy for two Sets when they are in about the same price Range!

although an Über Motion Mount would also be nice

The True ND filters are jamming... We are now shipping 1.8 and 2.1 densities and 6x6 filters as well. Demand is really picking up as Rental Houses, DPs, DIT's and even Directors have these in inventory now or are spec'ing these. The benefit of these filters is definitely being understood now.

Not sure where things stand on the number of people interested in the Group Buy. Sean, if you want to pm me and let me know the number of sets you received interest on, it would be helpful. There was a small price increase on the filters a few months back as incoming freight and customs fees from Japan are significant. That said I would be happy to review the numbers and see what our best price can be based on current interest level in a group buy situation.
