  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Good question as I was wondering where the zoom feature might be on this. Kind of a bummer if its only 2 focus wheels to deal with all the functions...
Chris can you comment on how a second channel would work on the system?? On the hand control and the pistol grips?

I emailed Tilta and was told (2 weeks ago) that mine would ship around 10.15. I'm pretty far down the list. I'm guessing that since no one has received theirs yet the dates are going to push again.
 
Just got this update from Yang at Tilta

Hi, guys, here is some updates.
I stopped the shipping before the October 1st due to some software update that our crew found with Chris and the other tester.
China had a national holiday till 9th. Our Chinese office just got back to work and they are fully working on making the software more easier to work with. We will try to send first shipment by end of this week, and if everything goes well, next week would be another shipment. So far, I am pretty happy with the updated version and I bet you guys will be impressed.
Thanks again for the patience, if anyone would need a refund, we will also totally understand and respect, please contact iris@tilta.com.
We always want to make something better and more affordable, we always want to give you more functions. If the tester give me a good idea, I can not ignore it and I have to do my best to put it in the unit. That would take time.
We will have a production version by next Monday in our showroom, if you have not receive it and you would need to trust if this product is true or not. Please feel free to come by and play with it.
From now on, we will have updates very week here.

Chris, I think it should be made clear that your post was a quote from Yang at Tilta. I was in the showroom today and I understand they want feedback from Beta users before committing to a thousand units.
This seems to be the world we live in at the moment where interesting and great deal products take longer than are promised and longer than some people are willing to wait. Let's see how this plays out. I am still very excited. Yang is not one to continually post updates. This may be cultural but he has always been straight with me. They really want to deliver. Thanks for keeping us in the loop as much as you can.
 
Have I missed anything here...if we are in the GB will we get a notice?
I just received an email that they are in stock and can be ordered.

They aren’t in stock. That’s just a blanket email if you subscribe to Tilta’s mailing list. They are starting to ship however to those in the GB.

Thanks Chris, I just wanted to make sure I haven't missed something. I dont think I paid yet, and dont have any emails with instructions to pay.
Did I miss something, or its just not my turn yet?
 
I thought I sign up don't see my name and I'm still waiting on Soren su how much longer he said the 17th

You definitely missed something. You should have paid a long time ago. There was a deadline and everything.
 
As much as I love Yang I feel sending an email to the public saying they are available when the GB hasn't received theirs is a marketing mistake. I will talk to Yang next week but they need a bit of coaching about sales showmanship

I think it was on this thread. We were instructed to email tilta saying we were part of the group buy. reduser@tilta.com Seems like 50% of the group buy people never did this, either because they opted out, or just didn't know. Honestly, it was so long ago, I don't remember the specifics. But I'm pretty sure, it was me emailing tilta that I was part of the group buy.
 
I remember having to email a Tilta rep, and going back and forth a few emails about payment and changing my invoice with adding a few things and then sending credit card info. Which somewhere earlier in this thread there are a few concerns about that.
So if you didn't correspond with Tilta about this GB I would say you are not part of it. You would have had to pay via those emails quite some time ago now...Im thinking over a couple months now.
 
Anyone get theirs yet?
