  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

They wil take Credit Cards. YAY! Those of you living in California who are paying via credit card will be charged sales tax. Please request that you pay via credit card when you send the initial order info to Tilta, that way they send you the appropriate credit card form.

Will this be valid for non US orders as well (Germany and VAT registered)?
Now I´m wondering if it makes sense to skip a local dealer who would be in charge of any issues that might occur with the unit just to get it a few weeks earlier.
 
Good work Chris. Now, do we need to send them the info? Are they going to be sending out a follow-up email?

I asked about cc and have not heard back, but I do have the original email from them.

I believe so that they will accept international credit cards too. Local dealers will be heavily delayed I'm guessing in getting units. We get all the priority allocations, and I think this will be backordered for months.

I still haven't gotten anything from them and I sent in the email within the first 2 hours of the info being posted here. I just sent a follow up saying I'd prefer the credit card form. Is this odd? Has everyone else heard back from them already?

Some people have heard. There were quite a few people on the GB and I"m guessing they got slammed with emails. They have 2 people working on this GB alone for emails, so hopefully you'll hear something soon. Rest assured, the order of the GB commitment is the order in which they get shipped. So even if you don't hear from them within a couple of days, don't worry.

Oh, I misunderstood, I thought it was the order of payment. That's why I wanted to hear back so I can pay immediately and get a little further up the list! Oh well... thanks again for everything Chris/Tilta!
 
For anyone NOT on this group buy, they are estimating shipment dates in October.
 
The photo does not show 'thumb wheels' I saw demo'ed at cinegear. Basically the rig they demo'ed allowed remote follow focus to operate one motor and 'thumb wheel' to operate other - each on a different 'channel' assigned to a different motor. So for example remote could be doing focus while operator was zooming, etc. Also there was mention of special cable and even dependency on Tilta cage to support remote record button.

Can the method for having one or two thumbwheels on gravity be shown - and is that what the $150 handgrip is for? what about the 'thumbwheels'
And for remnote record - what cable for DSMC2 and will it work with all DSCM2 power 'backs' [esp. JetPack expander: CTRL (Tally OUT / RS-232 Rx and Tx) (4-Pin 00B LEMO socket)] without tilta cage and using some standard red cable or tilta cable?

The $150 accessory is the support piece between the handles. Your choice of 15mm lightweight & 15mm studio compatibility, or 15mm lightweight & 19mm studio compatibility.

So does this mean that the only way of attaching those handgrips is with those rosettes to this bridge ? I hope there are other possibilities...
Otherwise, I have a vocas and also a zacuto bridge with rosettes, but would definitely need the specs on Tilta's (number of teeth, diameter, size of teeth, etc.) in order to make a decision. Anyone got those specs ?

Has any Canadians heard back from tilta regarding tax and duties? I wrote multiple emails before and after GB and still no reply from tilta. Even on FB Tilta is super selective on who to reply to......
